Booster Program Is Given by Juniors

A most interesting “Booster” program on the newly organized “Southwestern Virginia, Inc.,” was given by the Junior League at White Gate, Va., at a meeting of the Lanerian Society and Junior Community League, which was held recently when new officers were elected. The following program was rendered:

- “Great Men and Women of Southwestern Virginia,” Alice Miller.
- Sextet, “Old Virginia Hills,” Flossie Mitchell, Jessie Wright, Sadie Mitchell, Trubie Mitchell, Messrs. Bruce and Bird.
- “The Natural Resources of Southwestern Virginia,” Eliza Miller.
- “The Industries of Southwestern Virginia,” Lorine Updyke.
- Jokes, Jean Francis.
- “Natural Wonders and Scenery of Southwestern Virginia,” Trubie Mitchell.
- Declamation, “Southwestern Virginia,” Samuel Francis.
- “The Schools and Colleges of Southwestern Virginia,” Marie Updyke.

Jean Francis, Flossie Mitchell and Josephine Miller were responsible for the fine program which was a credit to the school and community. A large number of patrons attended, and the meeting was a big success.
