Men who view personal exhibition early this morning he aroused Mrs. Jones and asked for water, saying he was choking. After taking a draught he seemed relieved, and thinking he was quietly sleeping his wife fell asleep, awaking in a short while to find her husband cold in death. Mr. Jones had been suffering from what was thought to be malaria for some time, but continued his daily duties. Death was due to heart failure. His wife and one child survive him. The deceased was in his twenty-seventh year, and a son of Mr. E.H. Jones, Republican chairman of Pittsylvania County.
