G.M. “Jimmy” Mitchell (at left) entertains relatives in his home in High Point, North Carolina, during the summer of 1959. Standing at rear is Jimmy's first cousin J.T.W. “Trubie” Mitchell, who took the photograph using a timed camera on a tripod. To the right is Trubie's wife Mary Helvey Mitchell. In the foreground is Jimmy's and Trubie's aunt, Dora Mitchell Farrior. Present at the table but out view of the camera are Trubie and Mary's son Henry and Jimmy's wife Hershella.

Jimmy, the son of Gilbert Morgan “Jake” Mitchell and Pearle Gold, owned a veneer import company in High Point supplying veneers to furniture manufacturers. Trubie was the son of Jake Mitchell's brother Esca Mitchell and his wife Minnie Miller.
