Claudine Barbee Yeatts
1930-2022

Claudine Barbee Yeatts passed on to her eternal reward on January 13, 2022, after a sudden illness. She was born in Concord, North Carolina, on January 14, 1930. She was the beloved wife of S. Dail Yeatts. They spent 74 glorious years together full of cherished memories of family, friends, and travel. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus and her family and friends. Claudine and Dail enjoyed an amazing quality of life by the grace of God. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught mostly in the South Boston, Virginia, school system for 30 years. Claudine and Dail relocated to the Richmond area about 33 years ago to be near their family. Wherever they have lived, they made lifelong friends.

They have two sons and daughters-in-law: Dr. Stanley D. Yeatts II and Kimberly D. Yeatts of Yorktown, Virginia; and Dr. Donald E. Yeatts and Teri S. Yeatts of Chesterfield, Virginia. Claudine and Dail had four grandchildren: Matthew William Yeatts (who predeceased his grandmother in 2016); Sean P. Yeatts of Chesterfield, Virginia; and Brad and Emily Beeson of Chesterfield, Virginia (who live locally and have been a great blessing to their grandparents); and Sgt. Matthew G. Yeatts (who is serving in the United States Army and protected our country for years with numerous deployments). Claudine and Dail were proud of their three great grandchildren Brenna and Micah Beeson and Lily Yeatts.

Claudine is survived by three siblings: Mrs. Betty Noseworthy of Lakeland, Florida; Mrs. Janelle McGraw and her husband the Rev. Joel McGraw of Huntsville, Alabama; and Mr. Wayne Barbee of Louisa, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her parents Claude and Pauline Barbee of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and her in-laws the Reverend Dr. G. Dewey and Artie Yeatts of Dry Fork, Virginia.

A family visitation will be held on Monday, January 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, Chesterfield, Virginia. The memorial service to celebrate her full and victorious life will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 18 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia Chapel, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia Court House, Virginia.
